The daily snake challenge, Classic and Zen: single-player modes
Not every game needs other players. Snake Feast has three single-player modes, and one of them gives everyone in the world the same map each day, with one leaderboard to climb.

๐ The daily challenge
Every day there is one new daily map, the same for every player. You get one leaderboard for the day, so your score is compared fairly with everyone else's.
- Your best score of the day counts.
- After a run you can send a "beat my score" link to friends. They play the same map and try to beat you.
- Playing the daily challenge also counts toward one of the daily missions.
๐ Classic
The snake game you know, with a twist: speed builds as you grow, and rocks appear on the board. How far can you go before the board gets too crowded?
- Clear space around you before you get fast: planning matters more than reflexes later.
- Rocks never move. Learn to see them as walls and keep paths open between them.
- Classic works offline, so it is perfect for a commute.
๐ง Zen
Wrap-around edges and a steady pace. Leaving one side brings you back on the other, and the speed never changes. Zen is about flow: long, calm runs and big snakes.
How to get high scores
- Move in long, regular lanes instead of chasing each piece of food.
- Keep your tail's path in mind: the safest space is where your tail has just left.
- Grab golden food only when the path is clear.
- In Classic, slow is safe: don't speed up your own game by growing too fast near rocks.
Then take your skills online: the beginner tips work just as well against real players.
Frequently asked questions
When does the daily challenge reset?
Once a day, at midnight UTC, with a new map for everyone.
Can I play single-player offline?
Classic and Zen work offline. The daily challenge needs a connection to submit your score.
How do "beat my score" links work?
Share the link after a run; your friend plays the same map and sees your score as the target.
